ONE-ON-ONE TRAINING SESSIONS & BEHAVIORAL CONSULTATIONS
One-on-one sessions and behavioral consultations are available for people who need help resolving various canine behavioral issues in their home environment. I offer a gentle and fun approach to training and modifying behavior in dogs, with an emphasis on positive reinforcement, positive association and effective communication. All training is customized based on your lifestyle and your dog's temperament and needs. Common canine behaviors that can be addressed include:

~ Travel fee of $15 per session applies for areas outside North Shore, Central Oahu and Pearl City/Waipahu. Travel fee will be discounted for 6 session package.
If your dog has a behavioral issue that I am not qualified to help you with, I would be happy to refer you to other trainers on the island.
OWNER TRAINING DOG WALKS
Walking your dog is not just about exercise - it's an essential part of training and bonding with your dog, and should be fun for both you and your dog! I offer "owner training" walks for people who are dedicated to walking their dog and would like to learn how to eliminate undesirable behaviors that are preventing them from enjoying the walks. In addition to explaining and recommending various tools for walking your dog, I will help you resolve common issues including the following:
* Pulling on the leash
* Over-excitement towards other dogs, cats, etc.
* Excessive sniffing and territory marking
* Lunging, barking and snapping at other dogs
$40 for a one-hour training session and dog walk
GROUP CLASSES
My mentor Marie Selarque of Pro-Dog Hawaii offers group classes in various locations. I help out as an assistant, and I highly recommend these fun classes! Please contact me for more information, or contact Pro-Dog Hawaii at (808) 988-6596 to sign up.
PUPPY 1 CLASS for puppies 2-5 months old
* Learn how to prevent problem behaviors such as jumping, nipping, leash pulling and over-excitement
* Begin basic obedience commands such as Sit, Down, and Stand
* Teach your dog to walk on a loose leash and pay attention to you
* Socialize your puppy to other puppies, people, sounds, etc. and prevent fearfulness
PUPPY 2 CLASS for puppies and dogs 5 months and older (no age limit)
* Reinforce basic obedience commands and begin advanced commands such as Stay, Come (with distractions) and Leave It
* Teach your dog self-control, attention and eye contact as default behaviors
* Learn how to turn problem behaviors into desired behaviors using positive reinforcement-based methods
* Socialize your puppy with other dogs and humans in a safe, enclosed environment
